James A. Haley Veterans' Hospital: The World's Finest Nursing Care
The Tampa VA Hospital became the VA's first magnet organization in March 2001 and was recertified in March 2005. This designation by the American Nurses Credentialing Center recognizes excellence in nursing care-a distinction shared by less than 250 private and VA hospitals worldwide. Left: the hospital's more than 1,260 nurses are ably led by Sandra K. Janzen, Director of Patient Care/Nursing Services (center) along with Peggy Mikelonis, Women Veterans' Program Manager (left) and Inez Joseph, Chief, Nursing Home Care Unit (right). Together, these nurse executives have provided over a century of VA nursing care.

Can't Make Your Appointment?
Last month, more than 2,000 patients were unable to keep their appointments. Because we did not hear from them, we were unable to reschedule that time for their fellow veterans. If you can't make your appointment, let us help you reschedule.
